Hello! This blog will be used mainly to communicate with you and give you updates of progress. Please also check our main web-site frequently as all general info there will also be in English. If you like to stay up to date and receive our newsletter please subcribe to it "here".

You can also request a conference call over on Skype (username: theballoonfestival). Keep in mind Istanbul Time Zone is Eastern European Time (EET) GMT UTC: +02:00hours.

I also kindly ask for your patience as exact festival dates are determined and we get the program, pilot info packs rolling. But this will take little more time. We will though give you some preliminary pilot incentive pack information in the coming weeks just for you to see and pre-taste what to expect.

Its my pleasure to personally invite you to register for the 1. Istanbul International Balloon Festival on November 05th, 06th and 07th, 2010.
Registration will be April 25th - May 15th and acceptance emails will be emailed to you as early as beginning 01st of June 2010.
We look forward to your applications & participation and to having you in "Istanbul November 05, 06 and 07, 2010".

Dear Ballooning Friends,
Hello, once again from a sunny day in Istanbul. As some of you may know, " Pilot Applications " are out. Please download it to your computer (by pressing download button located at upper left corner of document window) fill out and return by " email " before deadline May 15th, 2010. You will receive Letter of Acceptance by email back by as early as starting June 01st, 2010 once your application is approved by Festival Committee.
In general, may I please ask that you forward this application and information to your friends in your home country especially in Europe who may be interested to attend as well. The more applications we receive from any specific country in Europe the better it is for shipping purposes.
For our US Ballooning Friends, we will try our best to accommodate a few or handful of you this first year (although unfortunately not in numbers we would love to). You are always welcome to submit your Application.
Alternatively, if you like to drive out from your country in Europe to Turkey with your balloon packed on a trailer that is also an option and you will receive travel money for this as well. There are also some RORO services like these " 1 " " 2 " and " Ferry’s " leaving from Italy Trieste to Istanbul if that is of any convenience to you and you like to combine this Adventure with a nice sightseeing a la European Tour.
And if there are more of you from a specific country, what about building a nice balloonists convoys if you like to and make traveling even more fun together and some sight seeing on the way to Istanbul.
Well, that much said we look forward to receiving your applications. Please tell all your friends and apply asap.
